巫昌祯——新中国自己培养的一名优秀的女法学家,1954年从中国人民大学法律系毕业,登上中国政法大学(原北京政法学院)的讲坛,执教已近四十年.此间,她积极热衷于社会活动,担任全国政协法制委员会副主任、中国法学会副会长、全国婚姻法学研究会总干事和全国妇联执委等职.1988年,她还当选为第七届全国政协委员.她曾参与过我国几次大的立法工作:1956年作为民法起草小组成员,参加了新中国第一部民法的起草工作,1978年参加了新婚姻法的起草,1989年参加了妇女权益保障法的起草.她的著述甚丰,《当代中国婚姻家庭问题》、《中国法学四十年》、《妇女和未成年人法律保护全书》等在法学界都颇有影响.
Wu Chang-jen, an outstanding female jurist trained by New China, graduated from the Law Department of Renmin University of China in 1954 and boarded the forum of the China University of Political Science and Law (formerly Beijing Politics and Law Institute) for nearly 40 years. Here, Actively engaged in social activities, served as deputy director of the Political Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, vice president of the Chinese Law Society, the National Marriage Law Research Director and the All-China Women’s Federation Executive Committee, etc .. In 1988, she was also elected as the Seventh CPPCC National Committee member. She has participated in several major legislative work in our country. In 1956, she was a drafting team member of the Civil Law Law Department, took part in the drafting of the first civil law in new China, took part in the drafting of the new marriage law in 1978, and participated in the Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Women in 1989 Her writings are very rich, “Contemporary China’s marriage and family issues,” “Chinese Law 40 years”, “Law on the Protection of Women and Minors,” and so influential in the legal profession.
