Foreword Since 1972, there have been female flights on United States Navy aircraft. Since 1989, there have been aborted women during pregnancy. This descriptive study investigated the dangers and consequences of flying during pregnancy. Methods The AirMed Medical Data Retrieval System outlines information on abandoners who applied for an application through the NAOMI and in theory includes any naval flight crew who flew during pregnancy. A questionnaire survey was conducted among women who gave up their flights during pregnancy from 1986 to 1995. Results Of the 77 women surveyed, 42 responded.
