语言模糊是语言的使用现象,又是一种实用的语用交际策略。近年来,研究者们从不同角度对交际话语中语用模糊现象进行了研究并取得了一定成果,但对其作为英语课堂教师话语中一种有效的语用策略的研究却较少。本文试从Verschueren的语境顺应理论出发,对英语课堂中教师模糊语用策略的使用情况进行分析,指出这种使用很普遍,这是与语言使用者的心理世界、社交世界和物理世界相互顺应的结果,并在此顺应过程中实现特定的交际语用功能,比如会话合作,体现礼貌,维持面子和改善氛围等等。
Language ambiguity is the use of language, but also a pragmatic communicative strategy. In recent years, researchers have made some research on the pragmatic ambiguity in communicative discourse from different perspectives, and achieved some results. However, there are few researches on it as an effective pragmatic approach in discourse of English classroom teachers. Based on Verschueren’s Context Adaptation Theory, this paper analyzes the use of teachers’ fuzzy pragmatic strategies in English classrooms and points out that this kind of use is very common, which is compatible with the mental world, the social world and the physical world of language users And in this process of adaptation to achieve a specific communicative pragmatic function, such as conversation cooperation, courtesy, maintain face and improve the atmosphere and so on.
