In the summer of 1981 and the autumn of 2008, Sichuan Province was hit by torrential rain that had not been encountered for many years. There was a rare flood in history, causing huge losses to the country, the collective and the people. In accordance with the instructions of the provincial party committee and government on the scientific summary of floods, we conducted surveys and preliminary analyzes on the relationship between forest vegetation and floods in some counties.
