There are about 1.2 million elderly people aged 65 and above in Hong Kong, accounting for 14% of the total population. Faced with the increasingly serious aging trend, the elderly care services for the elderly have emerged in Hong Kong. For the elderly with good health, the SAR Government is committed to providing an environment conducive to “active aging” and “aging.” For frail elders, the necessary support needs to be provided according to different needs of the body. In accordance with the needs of elderly carers, the pension institutions in Hong Kong can be divided into homes for the elderly, care and attention homes and nursing homes.
