学校是20世纪中国画教育的主体,但历代杰出的国画家不是通过学校,而是通过非学校的途径培养的。“非学校教育”即师徒传授结合自学的教育形式,和学校教育相比,它有短处,也有长处。过去我们只讲它的不足,对它的优长很少关注。我以为,要理解中国画教育的特殊本质,改进学校的中国画教育,重新认识非学校教育——亦即传统中国画教育形式,是十分必要的。
Schools are the main body of Chinese painting education in the 20th century. However, outstanding Chinese painters of different generations have cultivated them not through schools but through non-schools. “Non-school education ” that is, mentoring taught the form of self-learning education, compared with school education, it has shortcomings, but also strengths. In the past we only talked about its shortcomings, and paid little attention to its superiority. I think it is necessary to understand the special nature of Chinese painting education, improve Chinese education in Chinese painting, and re-understand non-school education - that is, the traditional Chinese painting education.
