Objective To observe the effect of ethanol on the electrical activity of nucleus accumbens in rats and to explore the central mechanism of action of ethanol and its relationship with endogenous opioid peptides. Methods Preparation of rat nucleus accumbens, using extracellular recording. Results (1) Single perfusion of ethanol (0.2 μmol / L) increased the neuronal discharge frequency first and then decreased, and was reversed by Nal (0.2 μm ol / L). (2) Dopamine receptor - specific agonist DAGO, U - 50, D - PEN (0.5μmol / L) and ethanol increased the degree of neuron inhibition, and DA - GO was the most significant. Conclusion Ethanol inhibits the electrical activity of nucleus accumbens, which is related to the endogenous opioid peptide system, especially μ receptor.
