This paper examines the world of industry from the perspective of historical materialism. It regards industry as a socialized artificial nature and sensible reality of social productivity. It analyzes the “input” and “output”, economic dimension of the social practice of human being. It investigates the objectiveness, regularity, social construction and natural history of industry, and discusses the trend in the human kind’s pursuiting freedom of changing from focusing material gains to cultural and ecological value in industry.
