Like China's economy, China's science and technology has undergone a rapid phase of quantity development. However, under the questioning of development quality and efficiency, it has temporarily faltered. Whether the supply-side reform proposed in the economic field is suitable for the development of science and technology in China and thus constitutes a good remedy or an urgent proposition indeed deserves a profound consideration from the scientific and technological community. As a developing country at a critical period of strategic transformation, China's demand for science and technology is exactly the guideline for the supply-side reform of science and technology.
