According to reports by the U.S. “Infantry” from January to February 1978, the U.S. Army is developing a single-armed shoulder-fired anti-tank missile. This anti-tank missile uses end guidance, which destroys any enemy’s existing or newly designed tank as it attacks from the weakest top of the tank. This project is called “Anti-tank System Technology Plan After Ignition” (FFAST). At present, the technology has reached a certain extent. The anti-tank missiles are technically and economically feasible and it is estimated that they may be equipped with troops during 1985-1990. Concept studies have shown that this anti-tank missile can reach a range of 2 kilometers and weighs 11.25 to 15.75 kilograms (25 to 35 pounds) (including night vision sights), with a warhead lighter than the newly designed straight-firing warhead many.
