随着美国文学的不断发展,哥特传统在表现形式和叙事方法上的特点,已经不能够满足读者的审美需求,在这之下,美国当代文学作品,除了继承了哥特小说注重表现死亡和恐怖主题的传统之外,还在表现手法、叙事视角、叙事顺序等方面有了新的创新和发展。本文将从介绍哥特传统的概况,哥特传统对美国文学的影响,以及当代小说对哥特传统的继承与发展三方面,来分析哥特传统在美国当代小说中的继承与发展。
With the continuous development of American literature, the Gothic tradition can no longer meet the reader’s aesthetic needs due to the features of its manifestations and narrative methods.
