双面一次成型埋弧自动焊,是一种生产效率高、具有发展前途的先进焊接技术。一般采用埋弧自动焊来焊接对接钢板时,需要进行二次单面单道焊接才能完成,而采用这种工艺只需要进行一次单面单道焊接便能完成两面焊缝的成型。就其实质来分析,双面一次成型埋弧自动焊,是利用了它的强大的电弧热能所产生的热量,在焊剂保护下熔化焊缝边缘金属,并在特殊的托垫上,使焊缝两面全部焊透,同时形成双面成型焊缝。衬垫的选择一般焊缝的反面是利用特殊的托垫来完成的,托垫的主要形式有:焊剂垫、铜衬垫、铜衬垫加焊剂三种。通过试验证明,铜衬垫加焊剂的结构形式比较好,这样可使反面焊缝既能强迫成型,又能有充分的焊剂保护,防止熔化金属流散,可获得比较理想的焊缝。一般在铜衬垫上加入焊剂,只要把铜衬垫上的凹槽填满即可,填入的焊剂过多,反而会影响反面焊
