雄性大鼠服雷公藤总甙每日30毫克/公斤80天期间可引起睾丸生殖上皮退行性变,其靶细胞为生精细胞。精子细胞和精子受累最早、精母细胞次之、精原细胞敏感性最低。最终可致曲细精管萎缩及血浆睾酮水平降低。病变程度与给药总量密切相关。在一定剂量下药物有抗生精作用,与男性节育药棉酚的实验结果很相似。
