稻瘟病是目前水稻生产中出现的一种较多见病害。受害水稻,严重减产,每亩损失稻谷一、二百斤不等。在毛主席革命路线指引下,在批林批孔运动推动下,上海植物生理研究所农用抗菌素组和上海郊县及其他省市有关单位,以毛主席光辉哲学思想为武器,研究出一种生产简易、发酵单位较高的低毒高效的新农用抗菌素——庆丰霉素。三年多来的室内测定和田间试验表明,对防治水稻苗瘟、叶瘟、穗颈瘟等都有良好效果,对水稻白叶枯病、水稻纹枯病、白菜软腐病等的防治方面经初步试验也有较好的苗头。
