毛竹分布于长江中、下游各省,广西柳州以北为广西的毛竹主产区,再向南则未见栽培。为扩大毛竹栽培区的南缘,摸索毛竹南移的栽培经验,我场于1967年、1969年分别进行了毛竹种子育苗和造林试验,并取得一定成效。一、试验地条件我场位于北回归线以南,北纬22°20’,东经109°04’的玉林石南谷地的圣山山脉,主峰海拔高700米,其余低山丘陵深度切割,地形复杂,东北面有葵山。本场座落在石南一城
