MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of highly conserved endogenous non-coding small molecule single-stranded RNAs that, through complete or partial complementarity with target mRNAs, lead to their cleavage or posttranscriptional translation inhibition, regulation of gene expression, involvement in cell proliferation, differentiation, Apoptosis and many other important biological processes, both oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. In recent years, the study found that miRNA plays an important role in the development and diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The author summarizes the research status in this field.
