There is a traditional understanding in “Divine Comedy” research, that is, the poem inherits the philosophical theories of Aristotle, St. Thomas and others to construct its own religious ethics system. However, the reinterpretation of Divine Comedy reveals that there are many metaphorical details in the poem that differ from and even against the ethical standards of both Asian and Pacific scholars. Although its novel ethical ideas are rooted in the fertile soil of the ancient Greek philosophy and Christian theology, they have especially accepted the spiritual factors of neo-Platonic religious ethics, and have thus achieved the ideal of being pessimistic and pessimistic with the ancient Greek culture The confluence of religious spirits.
