When the former Soviet Union dismantled, it left the main large-diameter steel pipe production facility in Ukraine. As a result, Russia’s large-diameter steel pipe production capacity was insufficient to meet the needs of oil and natural gas pipeline construction projects. Therefore, it had to import large-diameter steel pipe from Ukraine and abroad. At present, Russia has newly established two modern steel pipe production plants have been put into operation, the two pipe production plants were Vickers factory and the Yitz Hora factory, can produce a maximum diameter of 1420mm single straight seam thick-walled welded pipe to meet Russia The need for ever-increasing oil pipeline construction projects.
