2009年,湖北省积极组织开展“安全生产年”活动,大力落实各项安全政策措施,各类事故总量在连续多年较大幅度下降的基础上,同比又下降5.9%。重点行业和多数地区安全生产形势平稳,重特大事故有所遏制,全省已连续2年没有发生重大以上生产安全事故。
In 2009, Hubei Province actively organized the “Year of Safety Production” activities and vigorously implemented various security policies and measures. The total number of accidents of all kinds dropped by 5.9% year-on-year on the basis of a substantial drop in successive years. In the key industries and in most areas, the situation of production safety was stable and major accidents were contained. The province has not had any major or serious production safety accidents for two consecutive years.
