端午龙舟竞渡习俗中龙舟与竞渡本是两分的,但两者均植根于中国农耕文明的文化土壤,它们具有同一的时间意识与信仰理念。龙舟竞渡中“龙”的产生与上古先民对“苍龙七宿”星象的崇拜有关,其符号象征、价值蕴意、时空定位等都与“苍龙七宿”星象崇拜有着直接的联系;而龙舟与竞渡的真正结合时期应在初唐与中唐之间,是合目的性与规律性的统一过程。龙舟竞渡中隐含着天人相应、天人合一的核心文化思想。
