The authors used random amplified polymorphic DNA (RPAD) technology to try to find out the differences between the virulence of different strains of the amoeba and the intraspecific and interspecific genetic variability. From total 11 isolates of Entamoeba histolytica, 1 invasive amoeba and 2 sterile specimens of E.moshikovskii
