孙自然教授1924年11月生于江苏常熟。1949年毕业于南京金陵大学园艺系,获农学士学位。同年开始于北京农业大学(现中国农业大学)园艺系任教。曾首任观赏园艺教研室主任、中国月季协会常务理事、北京市花卉协会理事、中国菊花研究会名誉理事等职。孙自然教授是中国农业大学观赏园艺专业的创始人之一。50年代初在北京农业大学园艺系中就设有造园专业,1956年调整为城市与居民区绿化专业(后改称园林专业)并入北京林学院。1980年为了适应新时期对观赏园艺人才的需要,经孙自然先生等人的积极倡导与筹划,在园艺系中恢复了花卉教研室,并亲自担任教研室主任。1985年改称观赏园艺教研室,1988年设立观赏园艺专业,1993年获得硕士学位授予权,1994年正式成立观赏园艺系。孙自然先生在任期间,兢兢业业、刻苦实干,以极大的
Professor Sun natural 1924 November was born in Changshu, Jiangsu. In 1949 graduated from Nanjing Jinling University Department of Horticulture, Bachelor of Agriculture degree. In the same year began teaching at Beijing Agricultural University (now China Agricultural University) Department of Horticulture. Was the first ornamental horticultural department director, executive director of China Rose Association, Beijing Flower Association, honorary director of China Chrysanthemum Research Council and other staff. Professor Sun is one of the founders of ornamental horticulture in China Agricultural University. In the early 1950s, a gardening specialty was set up in the Department of Horticulture of Beijing Agricultural University. In 1956, it was reorganized into a greening specialty of urban areas and residential areas (later renamed as a garden specialty) and merged into Beijing Forestry College. In order to meet the needs of ornamental horticultural talents in the new era in 1980, with the active advocacy and planning of Mr. Sun Ziran and others, the flower department was resumed in the Department of Horticulture and was personally the director of the department. In 1985 renamed Horticultural Department, in 1988 the establishment of ornamental horticulture, master’s degree awarded in 1993, formally established in 1994 Department of ornamental horticulture.
