托妮·莫里森在《天堂》中对人类特别是黑人所面临的生态危机深表关注,小说展现了一种黑人群体的精神生态危机和社会生态危机,探索了黑人摆脱生态困境的途径,体现了莫里森的生态思想。莫里森提倡人们回归自然寻找精神依托,同时指出人类的生存离不开爱的存在,学会爱自己和爱他人,以此才能获得心灵的宁静和精神生态的健康。不同种族和民族之间应强调文化上的相互理解、包容和博爱,这样社会生态危机才能得以解决,人类才会拥有一个和谐健康的生态环境。
Toni Morrison deeply expressed his concern about the ecological crisis faced by mankind, especially blacks in Paradise. The novel shows a spiritual crisis and a social ecological crisis of a black group, explores the ways of blacks getting rid of ecological predicament, Morrison reflects the ecological thinking. Morrison advocated that people should return to nature and seek for spiritual support. At the same time, they pointed out that human existence can not be separated from the existence of love, learning to love themselves and love others, so as to obtain spiritual tranquility and spiritual and ecological health. Different races and ethnic groups should emphasize cultural mutual understanding, tolerance and fraternity so that the social ecological crisis can be solved and human beings have a harmonious and healthy ecological environment.
