近年来典籍英译逐渐兴起,关于中国文化典籍英译的研究还有很多问题有待深入探讨,文化负载词因其复杂性和特殊性,成为典籍英译中的一个难点。本文以目的论为理论基础,通过例证分析的方法探讨翟江月《吕氏春秋》英译本中文化负载词的翻译策略,并对文化负载词翻译的制约因素进行初步分析。从目的论的角度探讨文化负载词的翻译,总结出文化负载词的一般翻译策略及制约因素,以期为典籍英译提供一定的参考。
In recent years, there has been a gradual rise of English translation of books. There are still many problems to be studied in the study of English translation of Chinese cultural books. Culturally loaded words have become a difficult point in English translation of books because of their complexity and particularity. Based on the theory of teleology, this thesis attempts to explore the translation strategy of culturally loaded words in the English version of Lu’s Spring and Autumn Annals by way of illustration analysis, and makes a preliminary analysis of the constraints on the translation of culturally loaded words. From the perspective of teleology, this paper discusses the translation of culturally loaded words and summarizes the general translation strategies and restrictive factors of culturally loaded words in order to provide some references for the translation of classical Chinese books.
