When Stephen Zhou taught engineering nanotechnology to Princeton at Princeton, it compared work in this field to traveling on a space shuttle to the outer planet. Nanotechnology comes from the tiny unit of measurement of nanometers - the equivalent of one billionth of a meter, or just about 10 times the number of hydrogen atoms. According to the latest estimates made by the European Alliance of Nanotechnology and Research Institutions, sales of micro-materials products last year reached 26.5 billion U.S. dollars. The National Science Foundation predicts total sales will rapidly rise to $ 1 trillion by 2015.
