In vivo elimination of most drugs follows the first order kinetic rules and describes the kinetic parameters of drug elimination unchanged at the therapeutic dose range. A few drugs show dose-dependent pharmacokinetics (also known as nonlinear pharmacokinetics) whose kinetic parameters depend on the dose of drug used.
