At present, there are many methods for the inspection of the optic nerve, such as the optic nerve hole, CT, MR and so on. However, routine photography of the optic nerve hole is still preferred. Due to the individual differences in the size and shape of the optic canal, the same patient must be photographed bilaterally. In the traditional method of projection, the patient’s head tilts to the side at an angle of 3 7° (that is, the sagittal plane is at an angle of 53° with the table top) and listens to the vertical plane of the nasal line. This posture requires a high degree of patient satisfaction.
