时至如今,帕卡琳娜(Yulia Pakhalina)依然没有明确表示是否参加2012年伦敦奥运会的跳水比赛。不少记者认为,两年之后,帕卡琳娜行将35岁,在世界跳水界称得上祖奶奶级别了,参加奥运会的可能性微乎其微。不过,帕卡琳娜在2009年世锦赛的出色表现(获得一米板金牌),让世界跳水界的大多数专家认为,凭借丰富的比赛经验和目前的状态以及俄罗斯跳水队青黄不接的现状,帕卡琳娜很有可能参加伦敦奥运会的跳水比赛,并且成为中国跳水梦之队夺金摘银的拦路虎。
