The Qiangtang grassland, which is located in the Tibet Autonomous Region, is one of the most inhuman wilderness areas in China. It is called “the forbidden zone of life” due to its poor natural conditions and unfavorable human existence. But here is also China’s largest and most well-preserved wildlife paradise. The large and well-integrated wildlife community, especially the large, ungulate wildlife, is number and spectacular, comparable to the Yellowstone National Park in North America and the Serengeti Prairie Wildlife Landscape in Africa. The Qiangtang is located in the most northwestern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with an average altitude of 4500-5000 meters, which makes the Qiangtang Plateau firmly occupy the highest level of China’s terrain.
