The Provisions on the Employment Management of News Collectors (Trial) officially promulgated recently by the Central Propaganda Department, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the Press and Publication Administration put forward comprehensive, scientific and strict requirements on the management of China’s news reporters and editors. The editorial staff should be clearly defined and must follow the code of conduct, its ideological, policy-oriented, targeted and maneuverability is also very strong. The promulgation of this “regulation” is an important measure for strengthening and improving journalism under the conditions of a socialist market economy. It is an effective solution to strengthening the corps of journalists and is an effective way to safeguard the good image of journalists.
