After the First World War, a series of nationalist national campaigns broke out in Egypt. These struggles aimed at winning national independence are a protest against Egypt’s unfair treatment for a long time under the system of protectorate countries. Despite their nominal independence for Egypt, these nationalist movements led to the incompleteness and weakness of the Egyptian nationalist movement owing to the lack of effective organizational leadership and the prevailing disagreement among the various classes of society involved in the struggle. In the mid-19th century, most classes of Egyptian society, which were divided after the First World War, did not have mature political awareness. They paid great attention to safeguarding the interests of this class and laid a foundation for the social turmoil in Egypt.
