To understand the status quo of knowledge-attitude-practice (KAP) among medical staffs in the foodborne disease surveillance sentinel hospital in Beijing and provide a scientific basis for formulating training programs and monitoring programs for foodborne diseases . A simple random sampling method was used to survey 330 medical personnel in 6 sentinel hospitals. A total of 312 valid questionnaires were collected. The average knowledge rate of medical staff about food-borne diseases was 64.33%, that of food-borne diseases monitoring was 97.17%, and that of good monitoring behavior was 58.81%. The scores of KAP in prevention and management departments were higher than those in clinical departments (P <0.05). There was a positive correlation between KAP and foodborne disease monitoring (P <0.05). Sentinel Hospital clinical departments of medical staff knowledge of food-borne diseases need to be further improved. In order to do a good job of monitoring foodborne diseases, it is necessary to increase the training of clinical departments in a targeted manner and adjust training content so as to improve the quality of foodborne disease surveillance.
