高校图书馆通过开展导读工作,实施其教育功能。导读,即图书馆利用馆藏文献、网络等资源,指导读者读什么书和怎样读书,即根据社会发展的需要和现实任务的要求,主动地通过各种有力措施吸引和诱导读者,使其产生阅读行为,并积极地“干预”和“影响”读者的阅读兴趣和阅读行为,以提高他们的阅读意识和阅读能力,提升读者掌握和利用文献的能力,从而更好地发挥图书馆的教育职能和情报职能,使馆藏文献得以充分利用。本文试从提高学生阅读水平、提升学生信息素养、阅读有利于促进学生心理健康三方面,论述高校图书馆开展导读工作的必要性。
