Objective To understand the perioperative preventive use of antimicrobials for class Ⅰ incision in a hospital, evaluate its rationality and promote the rational use of antimicrobial agents. Methods A total of 96 medical records of type Ⅰ incision surgery (hernia surgery, breast surgery and thyroid surgery) from July 2010 to April 2011 were randomly selected and statistically analyzed for the use of prophylactic antibiotics in the perioperative period. As a result, there are some unreasonable phenomena such as the high usage rate of antimicrobial agents for prevention, the high level of drug selection, and the long period of time after treatment. Conclusions The use of non-standard antibacterials for perioperative prevention of three kinds of incisions is widespread and should be given high priority to strengthen supervision and management.
