自从我国实施“素质教育”以来,国家教育部及各地方教育行政部门,对普通学校艺术教育,给予了充分的重视与支持:普通中小学开足开齐艺术必修课,普通大学开设部分艺术必修课和选修课。青少年对艺术的了解,一般来说,除了将来成为艺术家外,主要还是应具备正确的审美观和审美能力,故在艺术教育中开设欣赏教学课是必不可少的。
