从二十世纪材料研究的过程,可以了解到多相材料的研究已日益为人们所注目。在新的世纪开始时,多相材料的研究将是新材料发展的趋势。但是,它将不同于以往复合材料的概念。多相材料将模糊各类材料的界限,它应是集各组成相材料的性能长处于一身,从而表现出突特的性能。它是博取各类材料的先进工艺,集中当前材料研究的最新成就。以满足使用上的要求为目标,主张用逆向思维的方式来考虑材料的研究思路。这将拓宽材料研究的视野。可以预示,多相材料将为材料家族增添新的血液。
