The automobile manufacturing industry is an important component of the U.S. economy. All automobile manufacturers and component manufacturers are also facing huge market competition pressures. The introduction and practice of advanced production management mode, the effective use of lean production, will increase the chip companies to deal with market challenges. As a basic tool for lean manufacturing, 5S activities have been widely used, but the effectiveness of different organizations have not been the same. In this paper, through the investigation and analysis of the automobile industry and mathematical statistics, this paper empirically tests the effectiveness of 5S in enterprises and the key factors that affect the effectiveness of 5S activities.
