北魏是佛教在中国传播与发展的重要历史阶段。孝文帝在位时期,崇信佛教,注重吸收南方佛教义理,推进了北方佛教的持续且有序的传播。本文由佛教在北魏的传入入手,先述北魏前期诸帝对待佛教的态度,再述孝文帝崇信佛教的诸多表现,着重探讨了孝文帝崇信佛教背后所隐含的深刻的政治意义。孝文帝笃信佛教,使佛教在北魏得到了前所未有的传播与发展,同时,也使得佛教文化渗透到了北魏政治统治的思想之中,对北魏,乃至整个北朝有着深远的政治意义。
The Northern Wei Dynasty is an important historical stage in the spread and development of Buddhism in China. During the reign of Emperor Xiaowen, Buddhism believed Buddhism, absorbed the Southern Buddhism and promoted the sustained and orderly dissemination of Buddhism in the North. This article begins with the introduction of Buddhism in the Northern Wei Dynasty. It prefaces the attitude of the emperors in the early Northern Wei Dynasty to Buddhism, and then goes through the many manifestations of the Xiaogan Emperor and the Chongming Buddhism. It focuses on the profound political implications behind the cultism of Emperor Xiaowen. Emperor Xiaowen believed in Buddhism, so that Buddhism got an unprecedented spread and development in Northern Wei Dynasty. At the same time, Buddhism infiltrated into the thought of Northern Wei Dynasty’s political rule and had far-reaching political significance to the Northern Wei Dynasty and the entire Northern Dynasties.
