2004年11月7日,中央下发《中共中央关于在全党开展以实践“三个代表”重要思想为主要内容的保持共产党员先进性教育活动的意见》(以下简称《意见》)。《意见》指出,为进一步加强党的执政能力建设,全面推进党的建设新的伟大工程,确保党始终走在时代前列,更好地肩负起历史使命,中央决定,从2005年1月开始,用一年半左右的时间,在全党开展以实践“三个代表”重要思想为主要内容的保持共产党员先进性教育活动。
On November 7, 2004, the Central Government issued the Opinions of the CPC Central Committee on Carrying Out Educational Activities in Maintaining the Progressiveness of Communists with the Important Thought of “Three Represents” as the Main Body in the Whole Party (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions) . The Opinion pointed out: In order to further strengthen the building of the party’s ability to govern, promote the great new project of party building in an all-round way, ensure that the party is always at the forefront of the times and better shoulder its historic mission, the Central Government decided that starting from January 2005, In about a year and a half, we should carry out educational activities aimed at maintaining the advanced nature of party members with the main content of practicing “three represents ” throughout the party.
