女性主义艺术的概念源自西方后女性主义理论,阿纳森的《西方现代艺术史雕塑·绘画·建筑》中认为,作为后现代主义艺术的重要组成部分,女性与艺术的关系从上世纪70—80年代在西方开始呈现独特的面貌。女性主义艺术史一般分为传统女性主义艺术史与后女性主义艺术史。短短30多年的女性主义艺术史给中国女性主义艺术带来了深刻的影响,中国女性主义艺术作为西方思想移植的产物,其发生的背景带有强烈的本土气息与独特气质。
The concept of feminist art stems from the post-Western theory of feminism, and Arnasen’s “Western Modern Art History, Sculpture, Painting and Architecture” holds that as an important part of postmodern art, the relationship between women and the arts has changed from that of the last century 70 - 80’s in the West began to show a unique look. Feminist art history is generally divided into traditional feminist art history and post-feminist art history. The feminist art history of just over 30 years has brought a profound impact on the Chinese feminist art. As a product of the transplanting of Western thought, the Chinese feminist art has a strong local flavor and unique temperament.
