索尔·贝娄是20世纪美国最有影响力的小说家之一。20世纪70年代贝娄达到了创作的第一个高峰。1975年《洪堡的礼物》出版后,贝娄荣获普利策文学奖,次年(1976)又获得了诺贝尔文学奖。本文旨在通过分析从处女作《晃来晃去的人》到《洪堡的礼物》的长篇小说创作,发掘《洪堡的礼物》一书中贝娄创作思想的沿袭与积淀,并通过“诗人之死”的批判分析窥探其思想的突破。
Saul Bellow is one of the most influential American novelists in the 20th century. Bellow reached the first creations of his creation in the 1970s.
