在经济全球化发展的时代背景下,21世纪成为以“信息化”为首要特征的知识经济时代,信息化模式也呈现出五彩斑斓的形态。这样的背景下,“微课”一词应运而生,并以迅雷不及掩耳之势被在线教育界人士广为采用,微课即是将课程内容调整为短小精悍、用来说明一个问题的小课程。伴随素质教育发展步伐的加快和新课改的不断发展,课堂教学方式也产生了较大转变。新形势下如何转变传统课堂的教学方法,促使多元化课堂教学的实现,已成为本领域研究的重点内容。微课的出现,使得一种新型的课堂教学方法在小学英语学科教学中被广泛运用。小学生的自觉性差且注意力不稳定,而由于微课堂的教学持续时间短、教学内容少和具有针对性的特点,更适合于小学生的认知特点。
