初中语文第五册《公输》“请献十金”句,课本的注释是:“金,古代计算铜质货币的单位,一斤为一金。”我以为这个注释不妥。《正字通》:“或曰,史记注,臣瓒曰,‘秦以一镒为一金,汉以后一斤为一金,盖汉以前以镒名金,汉以后以斤名金也。镒者,二十四两;斤者,十六两也。’”(见《康熙字典》)《孟子》:“于宋,馈七十镒而受。”赵岐注:“古者以一镒为一金,一金是为二十四两也。”《墨子》与《孟子》均先秦作品,据此,“请献十金”句中的“金”字,应该用汉以前的货币计算单位去解释,即“一镒为一金”,这样才符合原意,与作品的时代特点相吻合。
