Numerous research evidences over the past 40 years show that the use of calculators has had a positive effect on improving student achievement, conceptual understanding, attitudes towards math and math learning behavior. The evidence will help front-line math teachers use calculators as a tool to build a strong, dynamic learning environment that will enable students to better understand and apply math and adapt to the challenges of the 21st century. At the same time, the new research should go beyond such topics as whether the calculator is effective or not. Explore how to optimize the conditions, resources and development context so that the use of calculators can better improve the teaching and learning of mathematics. This study is a literature analysis of the use of calculators (including graphic calculators) in the classroom. It is based on a comprehensive analysis of 200 related studies from 1976-2009.
