Expo is a system of activities established by the 19th century middle class to showcase its values and cultural hegemony. Its purpose is to pass on and mobilize the masses to accept it through the Expo so as to participate in the construction of modern national projects. Expo show the “progress” and “competition” two kinds of spirit. In the early colonial era, all countries from the host countries to the exclusive museums in the venue did their best to compete in spite of all their might. Though its ostensible purpose was to shape the country’s image, its internal representation and recognition of sovereignty. The configuration of halls and the classification of objects in the Expo site reflect the modern knowledge classification architecture, and the Expo venue is a showcase for countries displaying their industrial civilization and strong productivity. After the First World War, the World Expo has the goal of pursuing world peace. The Expo has an increasingly close relationship with social harmony and modernization.
