美国著名的记者埃德加·斯诺,是近代最早报道中国革命的记者之一。他作为到陕北苏区采访的第一位外国人,用他的实际行动和《西行漫记》等作品的独特视角,极大地鼓舞和支持了中国革命。他以记者的实证精神,客观如实地报道了中国革命和中国共产党的抗日政策主张,给了世界一个了解中国革命的窗口,对中美之间关系的发展产生了一定影响。他极力促成国共两党抗日民族统一战线和世界反法西斯同盟的建立,为中国革命事业作出了贡献。
Edgar Snow, a famous American journalist, was one of the first reporters in modern China to cover the Chinese revolution. As the first foreigner interviewed in the Soviet area of northern Shaanxi, he greatly encouraged and supported the Chinese revolution with his practical actions and the unique perspective of works such as “The Westward Journey.” In a journalist’s positivist spirit, he reported objectively and truthfully the Chinese revolution and the CPC’s anti-Japanese policy and gave the world a window on understanding the Chinese revolution, which had an impact on the development of the relations between China and the United States. He strongly contributed to the establishment of the Anti-Japanese National United Front and the anti-fascist alliance in the world and contributed to the cause of the revolution in China.
