随着改革开放以来中国经济的腾飞和国际政治地位的不断提高,中国文化和儒家传统自身都面临着来自内部和外部的巨大压力——是成功转型继而成为中华民族伟大复兴的最后也是最重要的补足,还是持续的萎靡混沌以致影响中国实现飞跃式发展的大好局面,机遇和挑战的转变似乎只在一念之间。杜维明以“文化中国”的理论为中国文化和儒家传统建构一个多元、丰富、开放而又富有国际视野和全球意识的主体构成和资源布局,为其指出了一个属于中国的新世纪的文化发展路向。这种文化的发展模式,对建立一个开放包容的多元文化,对中国在未来的世纪里增强对移民资源的竞争实力,对儒学本身的第三期发展,都有着积极的作用。
With the rapid economic growth in China and the rising international political status since the reform and opening up, Chinese culture and the Confucian tradition are under enormous pressure both internally and externally - the last and foremost of the successful transformation of the Chinese nation and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation Make up, or continue to slump chaos so as to affect the great situation of China to achieve leapfrog development, changes in opportunities and challenges seem to be only in one read.
