The Weldon Tool Company of the United States has researched and developed a patented wavy cutting edge that is particularly suitable for end mills. Multi-groove end mills with different gullet lengths from ½ “to 21/2” (12.7 to 63.5 mm) in diameter have been put into production. The entire length of the wavy cutting edge is connected by a series of crests and troughs.
