The effects of prolonged swimming on monoamine neurotransmitters and their metabolites in brain tissue of rats at different levels of 5-HT, DA, 5HiAA and DOPAC in rat brain, brain and brainstem were investigated. Studies have shown that: 1) The increased risk of central brain fatigue after acute endurance exercise, 5-HT, may or may occur first in some brain regions, but not in the whole brain; changes may be related to exercise duration 2) After swimming for 3h, the level of 5-HT in brain increased, the level of DA decreased significantly and the ratio of 5-HT / DA increased significantly. It suggested that the diencephalon may be the central fatigue in acute endurance exercise Area; 3) After acute endurance exercise, 5-HT metabolic rate increased in the telencephalon and brainstem of rats; while in the mesencephalic region decreased, the level of DA metabolism in the brain increased generally after exercise and was most obvious in the diencephalon.
