在党的十一届五中全会胜利闭幕和中共中央、国务院发出了“关于大力开展植树造林的指示”鼓舞下,实现四个现代化的步伐将更加稳步前进。对林业科研工作来说更要加快行动,走在生产前边,解决林业生产上的重大问题,为高速发展林业生产提供科学依据。 我国荒山荒地面积很大,现有12亿亩,其中适于飞播的约有四、五亿亩,占宜林荒山荒地面积的30％。
